Glass Art Exhibition during American Craft Week 2018

American Craft Week 2018 at Mountain Made Gallery

All Good Things Must Come to an End?

As you might know, Mountain Made has been hosting as series of monthly exhibits of our local glass artists during this summer season.

The Summer of Glass 2018 is local grass-root art movement that was inspired by the Chihuly glass art installation/exhibition at the Biltmore Estate.

We understand that not everyone can make it out to the Biltmore Estate before the Chihuly installation comes down after October 7, which is why we will be showcasing all of our local glass artists in a special display during American Craft Week from from October 5-14, 2018

What is American Craft Week?

American Craft Week began as a grassroots effort in 2010 with a small number of craft artists, galleries and events. Our goal was (and still is) “to make noise”, and “to put handmade in a bright national spotlight”. Every industry needs to champion itself, and craft is no different.

The purpose of American Craft Week WNC is to recognize (and exhibit) the exceptional work of the professional craftspeople and artists here in Western North Carolina.

Mountain Made gallery is proud to be a Celebration Sponsor this year.
