An accomplished photographic artist, Lynette Miller taught photography in an upstate New York university before being lured to the mountains of North Carolina. Lynette says,” Although my professional background is in photography and printmaking, I’ve found that painting floor cloths is not so much a departure from the work and ideas I have been exploring over the past 20 years as it is a functional application of those ideas.”
Her first floor cloth was an ambitious undertaking for her dining room. “I had never heard of a floor cloth before a friend showed me some magazine articles on how to make them. I realized that a floor cloth would be the perfect solution to protect my dining room floors and add a bit of color.”
