It is always interesting to us, to learn how an artist gets started. But of all the stories we have heard over the years, Terri Sigler’s is one of the most unique: according to Terri she started her journey into traditional glassblowing in 2006, when her husband gifted her with a glassblowing class!
Naturally Terri thought he was crazy but hey since the class included a week-long stay at a really luxurious hotel (not to mention she didn't want lose the non-refundable class fee), she went along with it.
As you can see by Terri's work, that single class sparked a passion for glass-making within her. Now her glass art pieces are some of the most popular items in the gallery.
We invite you come by the gallery this Saturday June 4, 2016 and listen to her explain how she make her unique glass art.

Christmas Presence is written in the unique voices of 45 women writers who have roots in and connections to Western North Carolina. These Christmas stories, essays, poems, and memoirs, many set in the 20s, 30s, 40s, and before, add seasoning to the cultural landscape of a region already rich in custom and lore.
