Bio/Artist Statement

JG Stuart, as a young boy always knew he had it in him to paint. Most of his drive to translate the world into paint comes from his mother who taught him the basics from a very young age.

Eventually life’s winding roads, career changes, etc. brought him back home to the easel and oils in 2002. He strives to show how light reveals the density of objects. He is thankful for all the workshop guidance he has received over the years and he feels there’s always more to come.
