Patricia Van West

Bio/Artist Statement

Artist Patricia Van West is best known in Western North Carolina for her unique, “firecracker” wall vases – she creates these one-of-a-kind ceramic vessels by molding clay around a live firecracker to get that explosive effect. She says, “I’m an artist, educator, editor, and freelance writer. Currently my work is displayed in art galleries from Florida’s Forgotten Coast to Asheville, NC.”
