Joy Bennett grew up in Burnsville, North Carolina. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and took her first pottery class in 1960. Joy focuses on creating hand-built pottery including earthenware, stoneware and porcelain. She uses antique lace and doilies make impressions into the wet clay to achieve each piece’s unique design.
