Jason Probstein

Bio/Artist Statement

As Asheville’s only scientific glassblower Jason Probstein is nationally known for creating beautiful yet strong and durable glass artwork such as Christmas ornaments, goblets and vases.

He received a degree in scientific glassblowing from Salem Community College and has studied Venetian glass techniques at the Penland School of Crafts. Recognized for his talent, he has performed glassblowing demonstrations at Walt Disney World and his work is available at some of the top galleries and craft stores throughout the United States and Canada.
