Book Signings In October at Mountain Made

| Comments Off on Book Signings In October at Mountain Made

Mountain Made gallery will host a series of  book signing during the month of October.

The first session was held Friday October 5th and featured long time local author Celia Miles and Nancy Dillingham, co-editor of the ever popular women’s anthology CLOTHES LINES.

Also at the signing was author Cyndi Tillery Hodges (one half of the writing team that known as “CC Tillery”), who is new to the Mountain Made family of writers.

Celia Miles is a “native of Appalachia, born in Western North Carolina, and, except for brief stints in Massachusetts and Virginia, plus college in Kentucky and Pennsylvania, has lived here all her life.  She calls herself “a teacher by trade, a traveler by design, a photographer for fun, and a writer by avocation.”

Nancy Dillingham is the “sixth-generation Dillingham from Big Ivy in western North Carolina. She is the author of several books of short stories and poems. Her latest book  “Americana Rural” was released this summer. It tells the history of her North Carolina family with all its joy and imperfection, explored through poems and prose.”

As we mentioned before “CC Tillery” is the pseudonym of two sisters, both authors who came together to write the story of their great aunt their new book “Whistling Woman”.

Tillery is their maiden name and the C’s stand for their first initials.  One C is Cyndi Tillery Hodges. Cyndi also writes under the pseudonym of “Caitlyn Hunter”. She is the author of  several paranormal romances based on Cherokee legends along with   contemporary romance short stories.

The other C is Christy Tillery French. Christy is a multi-published, award winning writer who usually writes suspense and thrillers.

We invite you to drop by the gallery to check out these authors’ books in person – few things can replace reading snippets of an entertaining story as you leaf through the pages of a book but if you can’t come into town – you can still browse a select collection of  Celia Miles’s and Nancy Dillingham’s books on our online store.

But if you are interested in either CC Tillery’s or any of  Celia’s or Nancy’s latest releases please call or contact the store for more info.

The next book signing will be with Celia Miles, Nancy Dillingham, CC Tillery, Jack Pyle and Taylor Reece – Sat Oct 27 2012 12:30-3:00PM
