Lisa Ringelspaugh-Irvine, who is known professionally as “Lisa Ring”, says that over her career, she has painted over 2,000 original works yet she only became fascinated with the idea of painting Mermaids within the last year. Lisa feels that mermaids are beautiful reminders that we need to clean up the Earth’s waters and protect all the lakes, rivers and oceans in the world. She says that there have always been legends and ancient stories of Mermaids from all over the world like Brazil, Europe, Cuba and Africa and that she is slowly learning them all.
