Asheville wood sculptor Dick Biggins’s hand-craved wood sculpture fish evolved out of a lifetime of study, professional work and passionate interest in the fields of conservation and aquatic ecosystems. Dick uses basswood or tulip poplar for the fish’s body and recycled copper roofing sheets for the fins in order to create his true-to-life native fish species.
